Sabudana vada, also called ‘sago vada’, is a traditional fried snack from India. Sabudana vada is the best option to have when fasting.
3 medium sized potatoes
1-2 green chillies
Rocksalt (to taste)
1. Soak sabudana in 1/2 a cup of water overnight. Boil and peel the potatoes.
2. Roast peanuts and cumin seed at low to medium flame and crush them into coarse chunks.
3.Mash the potatoes and mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and make smooth dough.
4. Divide the dough in equal sized balls and shape them into patties. Shallow fry the patties untill golden brown on low flame to ensure that they are evenly cooking.
Enjoy sabudana vadas with green chutney or sauce!
